| Krämer Scientific Instruments GmbH
in Germany is a privately held company headquartered in Herborn, Germany.
The company was established in January
1994 by Dr. Klaus Krämer as a specialised firm involved in providing
support and developments for the high technology, high frequency Scanning
Acoustic Microscopy (SAM). The company´s direction has been primarily
aimed at Research, Non-Destructive Testing and the Process Control Industry.
History:
Since 1994 , KSI has established
business in more than 20 countries including local sales representatives
and agencies. The product lines are high end scanning acoustic microscopes
using frequencies up to 200, 400 and 2000 MHz (2GHz) , NDT (Non-Destructive-Testing)
routine microscopes and high speed automated ultrasonic systems.
In October 2007 PVA TePla AG, Asslar,
took over the entire KSI Group.
| The first high frequency scanning
microscope working with 800 MHz, named ELSAM was introduced by Ernst Leitz
Corporation in Wetzlar, 1980 in Germany.
This microscope is exhibit at the
German Museum in Munich. In 1989 Dr. Klaus Krämer developed the ELSAM
X1 system and the V(z) modul for Ernst Leitz GmbH. In 1994 KSI took over
the full product line from Leica formally Ernst Leitz GmbH
A family of scanning Acoustic microscopes
were developed.
Since then, we have continued to push
the technology envelope and provide our customers with superior non destructive
acoustic inspection technologies.
